Michelle began her career within the motor claims department where she gained experience in handling a wide variety of RTA claims. After successfully completing her legal studies and training contract she was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2010 and went on to gain a wealth of legal experience in complex personal injury and high value litigation matters. During her lengthy career at ALPS, Michelle has collaborated with other departments to build up an extensive knowledge of the businesses’ products and services.
Carole Ashman
Carole AshmanFinancial Director
Carole qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993. Coming from an audit background and having ran a successful accountancy practice, Carole joined ALPS in 2009 as Group Finance Director. As part of her role, Carole became the Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA) within ALPS Legal Practice Limited and is responsible for ensuring compliance with the SRA accounts rules. Carole is also Head of HR. Carole is a passionate rugby supporter, and enjoys baking, gardening and cycling in her spare time.
Simon Buxton
Simon BuxtonClaims Manager
Simon has worked for ALPS for over 16 years. He began his career as a claims handler with a caseload of RTA claims, dealing with vehicle repair to arranging replacement vehicles and liability disputes. Simon is responsible for the supervision of the claims department. Simon enjoys cycling and spending time with his family and 2 dogs.
Nick Copley
Nick CopleyLitigation Executive ACILEx
Nick joined ALPS personal injury and litigation department in 2015, having worked in similar roles at other firms since 2010. Nick deals with a wide range of negligence cases, ranging from small claims right up to catastrophic cases involving life changing injuries. Nick recently secured a settlement exceeding £1.7 million for a seriously injured client. In his spare time Nick enjoys cycling and hiking with his family and their 2 dogs.
Lucy Knight

Lucy graduated from Keele University in 2016 with an LLB Honours in Law and joined ALPS Legal Practice in 2017. Lucy enjoys walking, candle making as well as attending gigs and music festivals.
Daniel Carter
Daniel CarterLitigation Executive
Daniel graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017 with a degree in Law and joined the Personal Injury & Litigation team at ALPS shortly after his graduation. Since then Daniel has been dealing with matters relating to liability, vehicle damage, uninsured losses and credit hire on both the small claims track and fast track. Furthermore, in 2020, Daniel began working on matters relating to personal injury also. Daniel is an avid Everton football club supporter and enjoys days out with his young family.
